Contracts valued at J$4 million and above must be referred to the National Contracts Commission. The Contractor-General, the Office of the Contractor-General and the National Contracts Commission are independent Commissions of Parliament established to ensure that the public sector procurement process can withstand public scrutiny and meet the primary objectives of efficiency, transparency, equity and integrity in the award of contracts.
