Microsoft Senior Vice President Meets with Minister Mullings

On Thursday May 15, 2008 over two hundred stakeholders in the telecommunications sector, representatives of the Jamaica Council for Persons with Disabilities and students from several corporate area schools turned out at the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Library, 2 Tom Redcam Drive for the successful launch of the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day exhibition, which closes on 22 May, 2008.

The theme for this year is: World Telecommunications and Information Society Day - Connecting Persons with Disabilities.

Ministry team tours Department of Mines and Geology:
The geology of mineral bearing rocks was the subject of discussion as Minister of Energy, Mining and Telecommunications, Hon. The Department of Mines and Geology was recently added to the Ministry under the new administration.

Hon. Energy and Power Evaluation Programme Workshop
Minister of Industry, Technology, Energy and Commerce (MITEC), Hon. A special set of stamps, to commemorate the staging of the ICC Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean was launched by the Postal Corporation of Jamaica on Friday March 16.
