Under the Jamaica
Customs Modernisation Programme online entry payment (ePayment)
system launched in July 2003.
Further facilitates import duty payments by brokers and
importers, speed up processing time for import transactions and
allow for online checking of entry status. |

Will have a
positive effect on over 4,000 customs transactions per week and
contribute to the widening of the tax base, improvement in the
efficiency of tax administration and ease of compliance with tax
requirements. |
