STUDENTS FOR ENERGY POLICY CHANGE
Montego Bay Community College Students sign in on
arrival at the Consultation on Jamaica’s National Energy
Policy Green Paper 2006 - 2020 held on January 31, 2008
by the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Telecommunications
at the Civic Centre in Montego Bay. Solutions proposed
by participants included drafting transport policy
objectives that would help to shift the general mindset
of Jamaicans to support a balance between the
conservation of fossil fuel energy (petroleum) and
expansion of alternate energy sources, such as solar and
hydro power.
