Microsoft Senior Vice President Meets with Minister Mullings
Minister of Energy, Mining and Telecommunications, Hon Clive Mullings (left) and Microsoft Vice President of Marketing and Sales in Latin America, Andy Zupsic (Right) share some thoughts on the development of the information and communication technology (ICT) sector in Jamaica. The occasion was a courtesy call on Tuesday April 22, 2008, made on the Minister by Mr. Zupsic, who is in the island to establish greater strategic alliances between Jamaica and Microsoft.
      

    


    
ICT CAN FAST TRACK NATIONS TO FIRST WORLD STATUS

Minister of Energy, Mining and Telecommunications, Clive Mullings, has said that information technology can drive production and fast track nations like Jamaica to first world development. “The introduction of new and updated technologies increases both physical and economic productivity. MINISTER BRODERICK SAYS ENERGY CONSERVATION WILL CREATE ECONOMIC GROWTH

Minister of State in the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Telecommunications, Laurence Broderick has said that efficiency in the use of energy will boost the economy, as less will be spent on oil. UNDP PLEDGES TO ASSIST IN IMPLEMENTING THE ENERGY POLICY

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Jamaica, Minh Pham, has pledged to assist the government in the finalization and implementation of the country’s energy policy.
